Step-by-step guide

Follow these steps to mint your first companion.

Connect your Discord account

Head to the Connect page and log in with Discord. Your Discord identity is used for your Quads Lab profile — no wallet required.

Visit the Companion Lab

Navigate to The Lab from the top navigation. This is where all minting activity happens. You'll see available mint slots and any active minting events.

Spend Vibe Coins to mint

Minting a Dr. Vibe companion costs Vibe Coins. Make sure you have enough coins in your balance before proceeding. You can buy or earn coins on the platform.

Confirm your mint

Review your companion preview and confirm the mint. The system will assign randomized traits, a unique DNA, and a skin based on active mint parameters.

Meet your companion

Your new Dr. Vibe companion appears in My Collection. Each companion has a unique set of traits, stats, and visual attributes that make it one-of-a-kind.

How much does minting cost?Minting costs Vibe Coins. The exact price depends on active mint events and any discounts applied to your account. Check the Lab page for current pricing.

Can I mint more than one companion?Yes. There is no hard cap on how many companions you can own, though each mint costs Vibe Coins. Some minting events may have per-account limits during special drops.

What are companion traits?Traits are randomized attributes assigned at mint time: personality type, coder archetype, energy level, specialization, and visual features. Traits influence your companion's stats and how it behaves in Dr. Vibe.

Can I change my companion's appearance?You can equip community-created skins to change your companion's look. The underlying DNA and traits cannot be changed after minting.

What happens to my companion in Dr. Vibe?Your minted companion syncs with the Dr. Vibe desktop app. Its stats grow as you code — the app reads your activity and updates your companion's mastery tracks in real time.

Can I trade or sell my companion?Yes. Companions can be listed on the Marketplace or offered in peer-to-peer Trades. See the Marketplace Guide and Trading Guide for details.
